Me Before You for ages so I was beyond excited when the library said it was in.
Lou has enjoyed working at a small cafe in her hometown but when the cafe closes Lou is forced to find employment quickly. After failed attempts at jobs from the employment agency Lou is given one last chance as a companion to a quadriplegic man. Bitter about his accident Will is anything but friendly to Lou. Instead of making her job easier he goes out of his way to make it harder with his sharp tongue. Determined to make Will feel like his life is worthwhile Lou works at making every day an adventure for Will.
Me Before You ran hot and cold at times for me. I loved it and yet did not like parts. People have told me I should read After You and the copy of Me Before You had a sample of it. It did not really draw me in so I am not sure if I will give it a try or not. The writing was lovely and witty at the same time. I did connect with Lou and Will wanting what was best for both of them.
