Despite letting his brother die in his place Day is still not safe. The Republic hunts him relentlessly along with June. Unsure who to trust Day tries his best to figure out what is the best course of action to keep himself and those he cares about safe. Seeing Day struggle with what to do and having him suffer from trust issues at times made him an extremely believable character.
Having gone rogue from the Republic June is torn between her duty to the Republic and her feelings for Day. She struggles with this a lot and it is clear that despite being a genius June has a big heart. I like that about her a lot it made her seem real.
The writing was lovely, elegant, and a smooth read that made it extremely enjoyable. While Prodigy did read a bit slower then Legend I cannot wait to read Champion.
