The Maze Runner

I had been meaning to read The Maze Runner for awhile and seeing it was made into a movie motivated me to finally start it.

First off I was totally freaked out by the whole book. The Grievers sent shivers up and down my spine to the point that I had to stop and take a step back from The Maze Runner a few times. A few other parts got to me as well but I don't want to post spoilers.

Tom was an interesting character and while he seemed to grow I had a few issues with the way he handled some things that happened to him. Tom was very inquisitive when he first arrived in the maze and had a million questions. That seemed to die down as the story progressed but never left totally.

Teresa immediately had me intrigued and I instantly wanted to know more about her. Sadly not much information was provided on her and I hope future books explore her character more.

The writing was fast paced, interesting, and well done. I could not wait to keep turning the pages to learn what was going to happen to the boys. Like usual I saw a couple grammar mistake but nothing so blaring that it took away the enjoyment of the plot line.

While some questions were answered I was left with a lot of burning ones which is the driving factor in me to want to read the next book in the series.
