The Centurion's Wife is another free library find. I have read other novels about faith and enjoyed them in the past but I struggled with The Centurion's Wife.
Despite being the niece of one of the most powerful men in Rome Leah is still not granted a spot in his family when her father is humiliated. Instead Leah is thrust in with the servants and made the head maid to the Pilate's wife.
Alban is a solider first and a Roman second. Since his elder brother finds him a threat he is sent to a little known fort where it is assumed he will be killed in battle.
Little do Alban and Leah know that their fates will be intertwined as they help usher in the start of Christianity.
The writing was not bad and the editing was fine but the story just drug in parts. I think I would have liked it a good deal more if it was about half the length. Too many unneeded details were added and the title did not really fit the story. I will not be continuing the series.
